Santa Claus is coming to town.  Here's a brief rundown of the 2011 Ottawa Area Santa Parades:

DescriptionThe parade will start at 5 PM. at Lansdowne Park, head North on Bank Street, turn right on Laurier Ave and continue past City Hall onto the Queen Elizabeth Driveway. This is the End Point for the Parade. Floats and vehicles will then be directed to return to Lansdowne Park to the break down area. Participants will then be invited to attend the Toy Parade reception in the Jean Pigott Hall at City Hall. http://www.toyparade.org/

Westfest KIDZONE - Saturday June 11, 2011 - Sunday June 12, 2011

Description:
WESTFEST KIDZONE Circus Delights, one of Ottawa’s most established and diverse entertainment companies, will be around all weekend long to make the Scotiabank WESTFEST KIDZONE the coolest place to be! They’ll be setting up a 30 foot Inflatable Slide, a giant Bouncy Castle, a Mechanical Horse, and all kinds of traditional carnival games! From tiny tots to teenagers, and of course the young at heart, there’ll something to delight you at Westfest! You can also check out Chess-in-the-St​reet, an outdoor chess event everyone can play - from kids to adults and from those who have never played before to the seasoned tournament player. Chess-in-the-St​reet will also have Giant Chess, a giant-sized chess board on the street.

Tim Hortons Dragon Boat Festival Children's Entertainment- Saturday June 18, 2011 - Sunday June 19, 2011

Description: On June 18 - 19, 2011 head to Mooney's Bay to check out the Children's entertainment at the Tim Hortons Dragon Boat Festival.  The Children's Area entertainment includes: Magician Chris Pilsworth, Little Ray's Reptiles, Lil' John, Radical Science, Circus Montreal with Balloon Sculptur, Clowns, etc.  This is a FREE festival with lots of fun activities for the kids.

Ottawa International Children's Festival - June 1, 2011 - June 5, 2011

Description: Get Your Engines Started ... It's Time for Touch-A-Truck! It's your child's chance to get up close and personal with all types of vehicles from police cars to fire engines to back hoes.  Come join us at Touch-A-Truck, for a fun family day of honking horns and smiling faces!
Cost:  The cost is $5.00 per person, to a maximum of $20.00 per family. All proceeds support the programs of Mothercraft Ottawa.

Victoria Day Festival and Fireworks - Monday May 23, 2011

Description:  Celebrate Victoria Day with us! Make a day of it, incorporating Ottawa's beautiful Tulip Festival, in neighbouring Commissioner's Park. This is a family event with something for everyone: midway rides; petting zoo; food, drink, and dessert concessions; buskers; children's activities; and live musical performances. The festival wraps up with a spectacular FIREWORKS display.
