Lunchtime Performing Arts Series

Experience the sights and sounds of Ottawa’s artists this summer! Some of Ottawa’s most talented performers are being featured at City of Ottawa wading pool parks throughout July and August. Themed events will offer a variety of arts activities for children and youth on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., including an artistic performance from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m, a BBQ lunch on site (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.), as well as games and other special groups.    The artistic performances are as follows:

Propeller Dance (integrated contemporary dance), Thursday, July 14,2011, Windsor Park, 1 Windsor Avenue

Oto-Wa Taiko (Japanese drumming), Thursday, July 21, 2011, Lansdowne Park, O’Connor Street (corner of Holmwood)

Aboriginal Experiences (dance & storytelling), Thursday, July 28, 2011, Bel Air Park, 1249 Berwick Avenue

Okinco (Latin American music), Thursday, August 4, 2011, Hampton Park, 645 Parkview Road

‘Jump-up’ with Tarrah Mauricette (Caribbean carnival parade), Thursday, August 11, 2011,  Elizabeth Manley Park, 1161 Blohm Drive

Mehdi Hamdad & Pierre-Luc Clément (Worldbeat /folk-funk music), Thursday, August 18, 2011, Optimiste Park, 43 Ste. Cecile Street
